About the Program

Our roads are vital to the quality of life and beauty of Kern County. Our roads link us to our communities, commerce, agriculture, and recreation through the varied landscapes of our mountains, deserts, and valleys. Roadside littering and illegal dumping diminish the beauty of our County and drain valuable resources. The Kern County Public Works Department provides groups and individuals a means to participate in the maintenance of our road facilities. Adopt-A-Road today to help keep Kern roads clean!

Please carefully read and fill out the application form. Once completed, submit the application and any required documentation via mail, fax, or email to the contact information listed under the "Contact Us" section on this page. Once your application has been received and approved, you will receive a permit, a safety orientation, and you'll apply for your recognition sign.
